The Best Body Mass Index (BMI) for Older Adults

Why the standard BMI Tool does not work for older adults.

  • As stated in the Tufts Newsletter (2017, September 17), losing weight is the wrong goal for older adults. The focus should be on losing fat and gaining muscle.
